A folding wings for a missile fin comprises a first wing portion having a wing leading edge and one of the wing leading edge opposite the first folding joint edge, a second wing portion having a trailing edge and one of the trailing edge opposite the second folding joint edge, and the first wing portion and the second wing part pivotally connecting folding hinge having a hinge axis which is perpendicular to the wing surface of the folding wing.
