Electronic apparatus and television set for indicating menu in different languages

PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation of a menu for a user by displaying a language menu at all times, when first using a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION: A menu control circuit 29 inside a controller 8 selects and displays one menu described in a language, corresponding to a code stored in a language code memory 10 out of menus 17 and 18 in a menu memory 9. In the memory 10, special codes excepting language codes is preset as initial values. Before displaying the menus 17 and 18, the control circuit 29 displays the language menu 20. Moreover, when a code detecting means 31 detects the language code, the control circuit 29 displays the menus 17 and 18.
