Vulcanizable rubber composition for tire
1996
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition useful as a tread for vehicle tire, etc., capable of simultaneously attaining a fixed low rotational resistance at no ordinary using temperature of tire and a high grip under a using condition of a border line, by incorporating a specific organic compound into a polymer base. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by blending (A) a cross-linkable unsaturated polymer base with (B) 2-30 pts.wt. of at least one organic compound solid at a room temperature, substantially insoluble in the component A, having 80-160°C primary or secondary transition temperature, in the ratio of preferably 2-30 pts.wt. of the component B based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. The component B is an amorphous or semicrystalline polymer (polyphenylene ether, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.) having ≤10,000 number - average molecular weight and is any of an oligomer of an aliphatic hydrocarbon resin or an aromatic hydrocarbon resin of a low-molecular weight substance (an aromatic hydrocarbon, an aliphatic hydrocarbon, phenols, phenanthrene, catachol, etc.).
