Bayesian hierarchical modeling of the dynamics of spatio-temporal influenza season outbreaks

Abstract The analysis of influenza incidence in space and time is considered. A SIR model is proposed for the bi-weekly C+ notifications of lab confirmed influenza for the 2005 flu season. A variety of models are considered and the resulting goodness of fit and other diagnostics are considered.
