Three level dual Buck half bridge inverter

2009
Three level dual Buck half bridge inverter topologies, especially the coupled-inductance dual Buck inverter, are presented. Dual Buck inverter is a new configuration which has the characteristics of high frequency and efficiency. However the output of the bridge is in bi-polarity PWM waveform and the voltage stress is high. To overcome those problems, three level combined switches are adopted to replace the parts of a dual Buck inverter. Then we obtain some new topologies which have uni-polarity PWM waveforms output, and voltage stress is low. Two inductances of these inverters can be coupled together, and then the bridge voltage can be clamped, the filter size of the new inverter is reduced too. Provided experiment verifies those analysis.
