The design of a high-accuracy digital electronic sy stem is presented for the measurement and recording of real power in 2-wire electrical distribution network. The system provides superior stability over extremes in environmental conditions and over time. The system warns of fault conditions and allows device to cont inue accurate billing during a fault event. . The system is useful in power consumption and electric power quality analysis, besides having a low cost impleme ntation. The system is part of the projects on APPLIED ROBOTICS group of investigation of Technological University of Per eira in use of solar energy.
