A1 production in 8GeV/c π+D interactions

Abstract The πϱ system in the A 1 region is shown to have similar characteristics when produced in π-nucleon or coherent π − D interactions. The πϱ mass spectrum, which shows no evidence for narrow A 1 or A 1.5 production, agrees well with that predicted by the Reggeized Deck model.
