Disclosed is a stream processing method for a digital broadcast transmitter. The method includes configuring streams, in which slots include a plurality of blocks are arranged continuously, and an encoding and interleaving the streams to be output as a transport stream. Include configuring the streams can hereby placing of base data in a predetermined segment of each adjacent slot to form a long training sequence in boundary portions of adjacent slots that are coupled in a saw-toothed configuration (interlocked) when slots which are set to a block extension mode 00 are arranged continuously in order to allow use of entire blocks in a corresponding slot.
