Retrospective survey on the risk factors of contrast-indused nephropathy after percutaneous coronary intervention in pationts with diabetes mellitus

2012
OBJECTIVE To study the risk factors of contrast-induced nephropathy(CIN) after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) in patients with diabetes mellitus.METHODS From November 2008 to December 2009,383 cases recorded patients with diabetes after PCI are sampled to record relevant data for reference. In terms of the changes in serum creatinine during operations,383 patients were categorized into CIN group(n=60) and non-CIN group(n=323).The clinical information was analyzed by the method of retrospective review and logistic regression test was adopted to analyze the risk factors of contrast-induced nephropathy.RESULTS After PCI,60 in 383 patients with diabetes had CIN and the CIN incidence rate was 15.67%.CONCLUSION Renal insufficiency, the use of furosemide during operations and hypertension are the risk factors of contrast-induced nephropathy after PCI in patients with diabetes.
