Food for the elderly

For centuries, the food eaten by the aged has not found significant scientific interest, while the economic situation of the elderly was often insecure before social security was introduced. The article summarizes important changes of this situation. It shows when, how and why a scientific interest in the food of the elderly emerged and links this change to changes of the social and economic situation.
