Social Responsibility is a theme that has taken on unusual importance within the activities of the financial institutions of Ecuador and the world. For the measurement of this theme the most used tool is the Social Balance, which is composed of social indicators that are directly related to the seven cooperative principles proposed by the International Cooperative Alliance, said entity is responsible for disseminating Social Responsibility in the world. The following Case Analysis explains in detail the steps that were needed to implement Social Responsibility within the Ambato Cooperative. To include this topic within the activities of this financial institution, four stages were necessary that were diagnostic, the restructuring of strategic planning, the implementation of the Social Responsibility model and the analysis of the results obtained, these phases are explained in depth in this job.
