"Publication of a group exhibition featuring the work of two dozen artists who belong to the Iroquois Confederacy, an historical alliance of many nations scattered over two countries and countless urban centres. Essayists explore the dynamism of both traditional and contemporary Iroquoian creative processes, discussing work that is deeply rooted in a cultural system of values and aesthetic qualities that permeate contemporary social, political, spiritual, and economic life.
