Self flocculation saccharomycetes strain for alcohol fermentation

2001
The present invention belongs to the field of microbe engineering technology, and especially relates to one new kind of saccharomycetes strain for alcohol fermentation and capable of self-flocculating to form grains. Technologically, the present invention features that after the strain is inoculated shaking bottle for culture, it can form self-flocculated millimeter level grains in 4-8 hr and grow in grain shape in the subsequent enlarged culture process. The self-flocculated saccharomycetes grains may fix in the fermentation tank for high density culture and alcohol fermentation in relatively shorter fermentation period. In addition, after the self-flocculated saccharomycetes grains are set inside measuring cylinder, their will deposit freely in several seconds without needing centrifugal machine for separation.
