Trombosis mesentérica y accidente cereborvascular hemorrágico en pacientes con síndrome urémico hemolítico enteropático
2001
Summary We report two children with hemolytic uremic syndrome associated with diarrhea. The first child presented with an extensive intracraneal bleed secondary to a cerebrovascular accident and the second patient was admitted with a mesenteric thrombosis that required immediate resection of the terminal ileum and proximal colon. Both children developed transient acute and severe renal failure which resolved with supportive therapy. Later clinical course showed improvement of the acute complications.
