ARAÑAS EPÍGEAS (ARANEAE) DE LOS HAYEDOS DEL PARQUE NACIONAL DE LA MONTAÑA DE COVADONGA (NORTE DE ESPAÑA)

The spiders of the Montana de Covadonga National Park have been scarcely studied. In this study, the species richness of epigeal spiders was studied in 11 beech forests of this national park. Thirthy-seven species were identified from 354 individuals captured. These included five species of Araneae new to the Iberian Peninsula (Ceratinella scabrosa O. P.-Cambridge, 1871, Heterotrichoncus pusillus Miller, 1958, Lepthyphantes tenuis Blackwall, 1852, Linyphia hortensis Sundevall, 1830 and Oedothorax gibbosus Blackwall, 1841), two species new to Spain (Agroeca brunnea Blackwall, 1833, Walckenaeria vigilax Blackwall, 1853), 19 species new to Asturias province and three species new to Leon province.
