In the strategies literature and in the organizational environment, can be found a lot of control systems and strategic alignment. Among these, there is the Levers of Control model, proposed by Simons (1995), that permit, from the balance of design variables, consider temporally distant aspects and evaluate effects and causes, and appreciate practical and theoretical aspects . Despite the relevance of this model does not studies that have found a way to operationalize it, allowing its measurement in organizations. Thus, this theory test is to provide, based on the Levers of Control, from Simons (1995), a set of indicators for strategic control to assess the levels to which each engine control system (of beliefs, system boundaries, system diagnosis and interactive system) is configured in organizations. To obtain grants for the indicators development, used to the work of Simons (1995), through which it has incorporated concepts and author's comments about the levers of control. It is hoped, through the operation of these strategic control mechanisms, contribute to the area of knowledge. Already as a contribution management, whether to provide a tool for alignment and support the organizations strategy, by developing an instrument for data collection based on strategic levers of control of Simons (1995).
