Occupational stress in the perspective firefighters city Santa Maria/RS

The aim of the study was to identify the level of occupational stress of firefighters from Santa Maria / RS, which was achieved by the method of survey research, using the Scale of Stress at Work Pascoal and Tamayo (2004). The results showed moderate level of occupational stress, which is worrisome because if not performed to minimize interventions, may intensify. The main stressors are deficient in training, deficient disclosure, little prospect of career growth, how the tasks are distributed and the lack of information about the tasks performed by the firefighter himself.
