The invention provides an attack and defense exercise system based on a virtual environment. The attack and defense exercise system based on the virtual environment comprises an access control module, an experiment configuration module, a first virtual machine module, a second virtual machine module, a monitoring module, an administrator module, an attack and defense confrontation control module and a main server. The experiment configuration module is used for setting a first operating system image file, a first attack tool and a first defense tool in the first virtual machine module and a second operating system image file, a second attack tool and a second defense tool in the second virtual machine module according to the experiment type. The main server controls the first virtual machine module and the second virtual machine module to conduct an attack and defense confrontation experiment. The attack and defense confrontation control module is used for controlling time and role conversion of the first virtual machine module and the second virtual machine module during attack and defense in the attack and defense confrontation experiment. The monitoring module is used for capturing a network data packet of communication between the two virtual machine modules. According to the attack and defense exercise system based on the virtual environment, conversion between an attack role and a defense role can be achieved so that vulnerabilities of two systems can be checked at the same time.
