Correlação de características antropométricas e qualidades físicas com desempenho técnico-tático em competição de judô: um estudo observacional

2020
Introduction: Combat sports have increasing popularity, which has been accompanied by high academic-scientific interest. In judo, the focus on technical-tactical elements of the fight can contribute to identify determinants of performance. Objective: To describe and examine the inter-intra linear correlation of morpho functional variables with technical-tactical performance components of judo. Methods: Cross-sectional and observational study, with convenience sample, involving twelve male athletes (21.25 ± 5.04 years). Anthropometric measurements were performed and handgrip strength (HGS), thoracolumbar and leg flexibility (TLLF) were evaluated and body mass index (BMI) was calculated. The technical-tactical performance was examined by the analysis of time-movement from the athletes’ filming during real combat competition situations. Normality in data distribution was tested by Shapiro Wilk. The distribution of the types of blow was analyzed by ANOVA followed by Turkey test. Pearson's bivariate correlation coefficient was used for the correlation analysis. Results: The main strong positive correlations were: body mass with leg technique (r = 0.688, p = 0.018), of HGS with the time of grip dispute (r = 0.682, p = 0.030) and BMI with the HGS (r = 0.608 p = 0.018). In addition, it showed a negatively strong correlation between TLLF and grip dispute time (r = -0.664, p = 0.036) and BMI and TLLF (r = -0.725 p = 0.004). Conclusion: Body mass and HGS seem to be related to the type of stroke and the time of the grip dispute, showing the occurrence of correlations between anthropometric variables and time movement within judo.
