Non intrusive technique based on discrete element approach to extract crack opening from 3d finite element computations

Closing the gap between damage and cracking is still nowadays an openedquestion. This study aims at proposing a post-process technique to extract local information (crack openings) from continuous computations. In this paper, the approach is exposed and first results are discussed.
