E-Learning as a Tool for Empowering Entrepreneurship

Distance learning is a specific form of education which can be applied in many different areas in order to enable the improvement of the skills and competencies of the people who have decided to learn this way. The advantages of distance learning based on IT are numerous and more than obvious. The question we are trying to address in this paper is whether e-learning can be used for empowering entrepreneurship. For that purpose, we have designed and conducted a research and the results of that research are presented in this paper. The overall conclusion is that e-learning programs specially designed for entrepreneurs can be used as a tool for empowering young people competencies in this area and especially in countries with inadequate system of formal education, like Serbia.
