Структура и трибологические свойства износостойких детонационных покрытий

2006
We study the microstructure and perform abrasive, erosive and friction wear testing of coatings obtained by detonation spraying. Coating materials include tungsten carbide hard alloys, complex carbide Cr/Ti/C with nichrome binder as well as molybdenum. It is shown that the coating of powder Diamalloy 2004 (WC/Co 88/12) produced by the company Sulzer Metco has the highest resistance to all types of wear. The alloy Mechanomade 301 (WC/Co 88/12) with submicron tungsten carbide particles, which is produced by the Italian company MBN, exhibits properties close to Diamalloy 2004. It is remarkable that sprayed molybdenum demonstrates higher resistance to abrasive wear than VK25 and Diamalloy 2005 NS (WC/Co 83/17), but significantly lower resistance to erosive and dry friction wear. The composite Cr/Ti/С + nichrome 75/25 obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis shows rather good results. In certain cases, it can be recommended for substituting more expensive tungsten carbide alloys.
