Lessons from Using Basic LOTOS Experience Report

We describe three case studies in the use of Basic LOTOS. The studies cover design recovery, requirements specification, and design activities. We also report lessons leamed f” the studies. Early lessons suggested changes to the syntax of the language used, and the need for some specific analysis tools. The last case study reports some of the results of these changes.
