Liderar y dirigir: Un reto permanente para los directores de grupos de escuelas en Portugal

espanolEl liderazgo en una organizacion escolar se destaca como un proceso visionario y motivador, capaz de coordinar un individuo o un grupo, proponiendose alcanzar los objetivos deseados para el exito de la organizacion. Ademas de liderazgo, el clima organizacional es tambien un factor clave en la relacion entre el lider y los liderados. El presente estudio de caso se basa en un grupo de escuelas en el area metropolitana de Lisboa. En este estudio empirico se utilizaron como instrumentos de recogida y pesquisa de datos, una entrevista realizada a la directora de una de esas escuelas y un cuestionario relleno por 52 profesores. Despues de analizar los resultados, se concluye que el director mantiene una buena relacion con sus empleados contribuyendo a un buen clima organizacional, que los encuestados denominan como motivador y equilibrado. Consideramos, por lo tanto, que el liderazgo y la direccion de las escuelas es una tarea colectiva en la que el lider debe liderar y motivar a sus empleados a cambiar, animandoles a desarrollar sus habilidades profesionales para lograr un mejor resultado en la Organizacion Escolar. EnglishLeadership in a school organization stands out as a visionary and motivating process, able to coordinate an individual or group, and aims at achieving the desired success to organizational goals. In addition to leadership, organizational climate is also a key factor in the relationship between the leader and the led. This study case is based on a research carried out in a group of schools in the metropolitan area of Lisbon. It was designed to meet the leadership and management practices implemented by the director of this group of schools. In this empirical study were used, as research instruments and data collection, an interview with the director of one of those schools and a completed questionnaire applied to 52 teachers. The analysis of results revealed that the relationship established by the director with all its elements contributes favorably to the climate of the organization, as respondents referred the working climate as motivating and balanced. We believe, therefore, that the leadership and management of schools are not just an individual task, but rather a collective task in which the leader must lead and motivate employees to change, encouraging them to develop their professional skills in order to achieve a better result in the School Organization.
