The utility model relates to an environment monitoring system in a transformer station, and comprises a temperature and humidity sensor, a data switching circuit, a processing unit, a subscriber identity module (SIM) card circuit and a wireless transceiving device which are all sequentially connected. The temperature and humidity sensor located in the air in the transformer station sends detected analog temperature data and analog humidity data to the data switching circuit which respectively switches the analog temperature data and the analog humidity data. Acquired digital temperature data and digital humidity data, which can be recognized by the processing unit, are sent to the processing unit. The processing unit compares the digital temperature data and the digital humidity data with threshold values respectively. When the digital temperature data or the digital humidity data exceed the threshold values, corresponding alarm information is generated and sent to the SIM card circuit which converts the alarm information into a short message format, and the short message is sent to a wireless mobile communication network through the wireless transceiving device and further sent to cell phones of monitoring workers. The environment monitoring system in the transformer station enables the monitoring workers to acquire the environment information in the transformer station timely.
