Effect of propeller geometry on pulverisation quality and signal performance in atomic emission spectrometry .

2000
A new conception of the propeller in the pulverization chamber of an atomic emission spectrometer (AES) allows an important improvement in the quality of liquid spray and modification of the dynamical behaviour of thin droplets. The effect of propeller geometry (form of the blades, and their numbers) has been studied on the detection of calcium and potassium. Changing the propeller geometry in the pulverization chamber has a direct impact on detection limits of an AES apparatus.
