Studies of weak β branching in 55Cr and 206Tl decay

Abstract Weak β branches in the decay of 3·5 min 55 Cr of 0·038 per cent and 0·0033 per cent have been measured to levels in 55 Mn at 1528·2 and 2251·8 keV respectively. Upper limits have been set for the β branching to other well-known levels in 55 Mn. A weak β branch of 0·0056 per cent has been measured for decay of 4·2 min 206 Tl to the 803·3 keV level in 206 Pb.
