Highly photocatalytic hydrogen generation over P-doped g-C3N4 with aromatic ring structure

2021
Abstract Phosphorus doped g-C3N4 with aromatic ring structure (AS/P-CN) was successfully synthesized by a simple calcination method. Experimental results showed that the incorporated dopants promote the visible light absorption and the separation of charge carriers. AS/P-CN with optimal loading amounts of aromatic and phosphorus showed the highest hydrogen production rate of 550 μmol h-1 g-1, which is remarkably higher than that of pristine CN (120 μmol h-1 g-1). This work demonstrates that AS/P-CN are potential photocatalysts with effective solar energy conversion.
