Conflict of interest statements

The authors of the following papers have declared conflict of interest: Int Orthop 2007; 31 [Suppl 1]:S25–S28 (DOI 10.1007/s00264-007-0432-8 P.C. Noble et al.: Making minimally invasive THR safe: conclusions from biomechanical simulation and analysis The research described in the article was performed with funding from The Methodist Hospital and the Institute of Orthopedic Research and Education, Houston, Texas, USA, and from Plus Orthopedics. Dr. Noble is a consultant of Plus Orthopedics, and receives royalties on the sale of some products sold by Plus Orthopedics. However, none of these products is described or presented in this article. Dr. Noble is Director of Research for the Institute of Orthopedic Research and Education, a charitable foundation supporting research and training of orthopaedic surgeons, trainees, and students. The Institute receives research grants from Plus Orthopedics and the proceeds of royalty payments derived from sales of some Plus Orthopedics products.
