STUDY ON SPATIAL STRUCTURE OF UNDERGROUND COMMERCIAL ZONE ALONE THE SUBWAY IN GUANGZHOU

The exploitation of underground commercial resource in Guangzhou is investigated. By analysing their scale, function, industries and organization of retail trades, the structure of underground commercial zones in all levels is discussed. In light of former studies , this paper tries to categorize the different kinds of distribution structure and the corresponding spatial forms into three models. The results help the comparison of the conditions of different subway stations and provide advices for solving the problem of the waste of space resource and readjusting the distribution of underground commercial zones.
