Investigation of the Bank’s Customers’ Credit Repay Capability According to Their Socio Economic Structures by Cluster Analysis

The banking sector is an important part of the financial market. Banks give loans mainly from the sources they collect in accordance with their functions in the countries.As a result of this mediation function, banks wish to have customers who use their loans with a high repayment capability. It is important to know the socio-economic characteristics of bank customers in order to provide better credit services.Thus, banks can choose customers according to certain patterns. They can also offer special opportunities to each customer within these patterns. This may return to banks as an extra profit rate. In this study, bank customers were grouped into three clusters by clustering analysis. With the mentioned analysis method, customers’ gender, age, marital status, education, house, vehicle, job status, monthly income, bank salary customer variables by taking into account;repayment capability was analyzed as non performing loan and normal payment, then results were interpreted.
