Colonic adenocarcinoma in a patient with multiple hyperplastic polyps

Abstract Hyperplastic colonic polyps are considered to be benign. We report the case of a man with multiple hyperplastic colon polyps who developed a colonic adenocarcinoma. The literature on the relation between hyperplastic colon polyps and adenocarcinoma is discussed.
