Synthesis, Structures, and Physical Properties of Benzo[k]fluoranthene‐Based Linear Acenes.

Pd-catalyzed [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of dialkynylnaphthalene derivatives with iodobenzene or diiodobenzene derivatives provides access to a wide range of title benzofluoranthene-based linear acenes, e.g. (III), (VI).
