Derivative of arylacetiate displaying high fungicidal activity

PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as an agricultural fungicide. CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [R 1 and R 2 are each 1-6C alkyl or haloalkyl; R 3 and R 4 are each H, 1-2C alkyl, COOR 5 (R 5 is 1-6C alkyl) or cyano; W is 0 or =CH-; Y and Q are each nitrile, 1-6C alkyl, carboalkoxy, phenyl or 5-10C hetero cycle; K is O, S or carbonyl; n and m are each 0 or 1], e.g. (Z)-3-methoxy-2-[2-[5-(4-chloropheny])-isooxazole-3-yllphenyl] methyl acrylate, is obtained by reacting an aldoxime of formula II with an unsaturated compound in the presence of a halogenating agent (e.g. sodium hypochlorite). The compound exerts a high fungicidal activity against phytopathogenic fungi invade grapevines, sugarbeets, grains, cucurbitaceous crops and orchards. COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
