A simple synthesis of azuleno[1,2-c]thiophenes by reactions of 1-acyl-2- (bromomethyl)azulenes with thioamides

Azuleno[1,2-c]thiophenes are obtained by using simple method from 1-acyl-2-(bromomethyl)azulene prepared from acylation and brominalion of 2-methylazulene in good yields.
