The invention relates to a method for determining a computational model for a control sensor system (1), particularly for a positioning element for controlling a gas mass flow to an internal combustion engine, comprising the steps of: - providing a differential equation system with at least one non-linear expression; - dividing (S1) of the differential equation system, in order to obtain a linear, writable by a linear differential equation and a nonlinear portion, writable by a nonlinear differential equation moiety; - discretizing (S2) of the linear portion of the differential equation system by using a first discretization, to obtain a mathematical model for the discretized linear portion; - discretizing (S4) of the non-linear portion of the differential equation system by using a second discretization, to obtain a mathematical model for the discrete non-linear portion; - combining (S5) of the calculation models of the discretized linear portion and the discretized non-linear portion of the system of differential equations to obtain the calculation model for the control encoder system (1).
