Nursing evidence-based inteprofissional practice guidelines for wound healing by second intension - Systematic Literature Review

Problem: Due to the overall movement related to patient safety, and the relevance of morbidity and mortality of patients hospitalized in intensive care units and with the aim of better understanding the most effective intervention for the client with lesions that require healing by second intention. Method: Ten articles were selected through the bibliographic databases PubMed, BVS, Medline e Scielo, publications from 2011 to 2018 and a systematic review of the national and international literature was used as criteria for inclusion: Full text available in portuguese and english, evaluated in relation to the strength of evidence and clinical relevance. Objective: To identify the most effective nursing intervention wound healing by second intension of the high complexity client. Result: New studies are necessary for the discussion of treatment methods and results in 7 days. Conclusion:Considering the evidence studied, it was concluded that despite the existing resources, healing by second intention in 7 days represents a constant challenge for nursing professionals. Due to this fact, the technical training and responsibility of nurses in the evaluation and control of wound-related facts and data are paramount.
