Estudo ergométrico evolutivo de portadoras de fibromialgia primária em programa de treinamento cardiovascular supervisionado

2000
Aim: prospective exercise testing (ET) evaluation in patients with primary fibromyalgia (PF) submit to supervised cardiovascular training (SCT). Casuistic and method: thirteen women with PF, mean age of 48,9 years, were submitted to a ET on treadmill (Ellestad protocol), in the time zero, after three and six months of SCT. The interruption criteria for ET were tiredness and pain. For the SCT were established zone of 60% to 70% of the maxim heart rate (HR), calculated by the Karvonen method. All the patients were present to more than 80% from the total of 72 STC sessions, three times a week for 60 minutes. We analyzed the results from the ET and the score of muscular pain. Value t<0.05 were consider significant. Results: after 3 months, we observed significant improvement in the chronotropic reserve. After 3 and 6 months were increased exercise time, functional capacity, total work The HR in the maximum common load was reduced. The major percentage of the patients presented after 3 and 6 months of SCT with heavier load the same score for subjective evaluation of pain than after ET in zero time. Conclusion: after 3 months of STC patients with PF presented higher tolerance to muscular pain and physical exercise, improvement in the functional capacity cardiovascular and peripheral muscular activity.
