The invention discloses a method and a device for controlling message processing threads. The method and the device are characterized by dividing service content in received service request messages into different types of services according to the type and sending the different types of service content to corresponding different threads to process. By virtue of the method and the device, the waiting time of the service request messages in a message queue can be shortened under the condition that a large number of users simultaneously send service request messages, so that the service request responding time is shortened, and the service processing efficiency of a service system is improved.
