r-HuEPO tedavisi ve serum total glutatyon s-transferaz aktivitesi

1995
Glutathione S-transferases (GST) are jound Ihroiighoul the hody. Il has been kiioun t hat som e disease states and hormona! manuplations change the cellular amounl of these enzymes. Iii ih is sludy. e (feci of r- HuEPO treatment on serum total GST activities ere investigated in hemodialysis patients (IH)). The patients were divided into three groups. Group-1 consisted of 15 patients having 2000-4000 II' eek r-IliiFPO subcutaneously for. at least 6 months. Group-11 were 15 patients and had no r-lluFPO treatment. Group-1 II consisted of 10 patients who iiever had r-lluFPO he/ore stariing the three months' stiidy. In Group-I and -II. GST activities were ana/yzed in the beginning of the sludy. ii hereas in Group-1 II these assays ere performed both at the onset and in the end of three months' sludy. GST assays ere done by the method of llabig el al. There vas no significant differances between groiip-I and -II in lerms of serum total GST activities (jg 0.1) but GST activities in group-III w ere increased with r-lluFPO treatment in the end of sludy (39.04 p ~.2 1' 1.) compared to the activities obtained at the beginning of the treatment (31.69 p 6.6) (/g 0.03). On the other hand we could not Jind anv correlation beiween serum GST and Transaminase activities and any differance between GST activities of HBs b and HBs-patients. In conlusion, r-lluFPO mav increase the level of serum GST activity with short-term treatment (3 months). but m ay gain tolerans with loiig-term r-lluFPO treatment.
