Optical panel and a backlight module

An optical plate for a backlight module having a frame. The optical plate includes a main body comprising a light incident surface and a light incident surface opposite to the light emitting surface. The optical plate further includes two fixing portions respectively extending from two opposite ends of the body outwardly, each having a first portion fixed to a side wall connected to the body, the first sidewall and the two light entrance a first receiving surface enclose a chamber, and the second light emitting surface enclose a receiving chamber for the fixing part fixed to the frame. The present invention further provides a backlight module using the optical plate. The backlight module has the advantage of reducing the difficulty of assembly and low cost.
