The molecular parameters of trypanosomatid kinetoplast DNA as a taxonomic trait

: A possibility of using molecular characteristics of the kinetoplast DNA for taxonomic aims in the trypanosomatids has been analysed. A procedure of using this taxonomic characteristics to identify natural isolates of these organisms is suggested.
