Methods for comparing the efficiency of heat-storage devices in nuclear power plants

1987
The authors describe methods for comparatively analyzing the efficiencies of heat recovery and storage equipment for nuclear power plants and the economics of their participation in overall off-peak storage and load management scenarios for the power system at large. The methods are used to determine the optimal role and operating mode of a given power engineering configuration as well as the parameters of heat transfer and hydraulics and cost characteristics.
