17.2: Compensation of False Contours on a PDP using a Pixel Based Motion Estimator Combined with an Efficient Coding Technique

2003
False contours occurs on PDP since the eye tracks moving objects in a video scene. To correctly render these moving objects the definitive solution is to use the motion information and pre-compensate the eye's tracking. Such a solution will be presented using a pixel-based motion estimator combined to an efficient video coding technique.
