All-digital wire feeding system based on fuzzy-PI control technology

Gas metal arc welding(GMAW) is one of the most important welding methods.Stability and reliability of wire feed system,which are developed by improving wire feeder hardware performance and wire feeder control methods,have direct effect on the welding quality of Gas metal arc welding (GMAW).In order to achieve the digital control of wire feed system,TMS320F2808 is chosen as core of controller,MOSFET is used to drive the motor of wire feeding,the speed negative feedback is used to implement the closed-loop control of wire feed motor,and the technology of fuzzy-PI control is adopted in this paper.Speed adjustment of the DC wire feed motor, which is controlled by Fuzzy-PI,not only has quick response speed and higher steady-state accuracy,but also has good static and dynamic performances.Hardware circuit of all digital wire feed system which is based upon fuzzy PI control is extremely simple and greatly simplifies the difficulty of debugging.Basically,this study matches software to achieve the wire feeding system for all-digital.
