Approach for Determination of the Stop Band for Ridge Gap Waveguide

Ridge Gap Waveguide (RGW) becomes an important technology to implement passive and active elements for microwave and millimeter bands. One major obstacle in the design procedure is the cell design to achieve the objective operating band. This paper presents a detailed study of RGW, where the design of the unit cell will be turned into a systematic procedure. The presented approach is as an essential complementary step to many articles provided different studies in the same area. The presented study covers RGW structures that operate in X-band, K-Bands and Q-Band. The proposed work will be deployed in the design of the RGW configuration, where both the effort and the time required will be significantly minimized.
