Wide Band Circle Slotted Inset Fed Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Application

A novel high gain, wideband circle slot-loaded microstrip patch antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed design is realized using inset linefeed method. The proposed microstrip antenna has a wide bandwidth covering the range from 1.033–2.859 GHz. By using simple inset linefeed technique and by introducing circle slot, the proposed antenna on 2 GHz operating frequency showing the bandwidth 93.83% having return loss −27.57 dB, gain 7.1 dBi and good radiation efficiency of about 98% has been achieved. All results are carried out using IE3d software.
