Incidencia del ácido giberélico sobre caracteres productivos en alcaucil.

2010
Cold requirements for production can be obtained naturally or artificially with the use of gibberellic acid (GA3). The effects of GA3 application in 3 cultivars "Frances" (FR), "Oro Verde FCA" (OV) and "Esmeralda FCA" (ES) with different cycles were studied. Four treatments of GA3: T1 (30 ppm 22/5), T2 (15 ppm 22/5 + 15 ppm 24/6), T3 (80 ppm 22/5) and T4 (30 ppm 22/5 + 50 ppm 24/6) on plants with 6-7 developed leaves were applied. An ANOVA were used for: number of bud per ha. (NB), the average weight of head (AW), the yield (Y), height-diameter ratio (R), days to first harvest (FH) and the percentage of productive plants per treatment and cultivar. There were significant differences among cultivars in all variables. In FR, T1 was the most effective to produce an advance of 12 days for production, increased the NB (42%), AW and Y (3.5 t.ha-1) with respect to T5. In OV, T4, produced precocity (9 days) related to T5. For ES while there were differences among treatments but, none exceeded the values of the control. To obtain a greater profitability of the crop (determined by the performance of each clone and the date of production market entry) depends on the production cycle of each cultivar.
