Active matrix led display

2017
Large size LED displays have a high number of lead-out wires and thus require a driver circuit for every small display unit, thereby resulting in an increased case size which puts constraints on the installation location for the device. In the present invention, inorganic LED elements (410, 411, 412) are mounted on an active matrix substrate provided with pixel circuit driving substrates (300) in a matrix. Furthermore, the pixel circuit driving substrates (300) also have mounted thereon elements fabricated with a different substrate, similarly to the inorganic LED elements (410, 411, 412). This makes it possible to provide an active matrix LED display that can significantly reduce the number of lead-out wires for driving the inorganic LED elements (410, 411, 412), that can be installed in various places at low cost, and that is flexible, lightweight, and large.
