Analysis of Driving Behaviour for Improved Safety in Commercial Fleet Management using Onboard Diagnostics (OBD-II)

The contribution of the accidents in the mortality rate is increasing rapidly. Reckless driving by not following rules and regulations is one of the considerable factors for the accidents. So, there is a need for the prevention of these accidents by carefully monitoring the driving behavior. If the driver is conscious that his driving behavior is monitored then the chances of neglecting rules and regulations can be drastically reduced. The proposed system considers different parameters like speed, acceleration, deceleration, jerk etc. retrieved using OBD II module and these values are compared with standard limits and deviation in the driving will be measured and notified for the future purpose. The driver behavior is classified into 3 different levels representing his perfection in the driving. The notification is done by using telegram application
